Get the log fire roaring as sun goes down after a day of activities in pleasant daytime temperatures. The Algarve gets around 300 days of sunshine a year – expect highs of 18C in December.

The professional hotel kitchen is at your disposal to cook up a storm and, as well as the log fires, underfloor heating will keep you warm and cosy in the evenings.

Casa Fajara Wins Award For Being ‘One Of Best Hotels In Portugal’

Casa Fajara Rustic Boutique Hotel has won a Recognition of Excellence Award 2020 for being ‘one of the best hotels in Portugal’ based on outstanding guest reviews.

The award comes from HotelsCombined, a price comparison website which has gained its own accolade. It’s been announced as being the Best Hotel Booking Site for 2020 by Frommer’s.

A spokesperson for HotelsCombined, which serves more than 30 million travellers a month,  said: “Our goal is to make sure our users can find and book their stay in the top properties. The award is recognition for consistently achieving the highest standards of customer satisfaction worldwide.

“We selected and awarded the absolute best properties in Portugal and Case Fajara was one of them. It received 138 reviews resulting in an incredible score of 10 out of 10.”
